The visit sets the terms, and the session fits around it
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a mosque and one of Abu Dhabi's landmarks, and the route box above measures from its courtyard as mapped. This page is for people staying in the mosque district for a few days, on holiday or for work, who want to keep training while they are here.
RPM is not in the district. It is a single club on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, and where RPM sits for someone in the city for only a few days covers the basics. The mosque is a place of worship as well as a sight to see, so the sensible order is to fix the visit first and fit the session around it.
Start with the mosque's own visitor pages
The mosque's official website has a page for visitors. It links to the visiting hours, to a page on mosque manners that covers dress and conduct, and to online booking for your visit. The hours page notes that times are different on Fridays and during Ramadan. Read all of it before you plan, since this page does not repeat it.
Then set the mosque's times against the club's. RPM opens early and closes late, with shorter hours on Fridays, and Ramadan can shift them too, so on a Friday or during Ramadan check both timetables on the day.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
Session first or visit first?
| Plan | How the day runs | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Train early, visit later | A morning session, a change of clothes at the club, then on to the mosque | Early risers who want the rest of the day open |
| Visit first, train later | The mosque at the time you booked, then an evening session | Anyone whose booking falls early in the day |
| Separate days | Sightseeing on one day, a longer session or a coached hour on another | Stays of a week or more |
If you train first, pack clothes that follow the mosque's manners page and change at RPM before you leave. You can lock your bag in a keypad locker in the changing area, and the grooming hub offers a vanity area with hairdryers and products. Ask the team about showers and whether towels are provided, rather than assuming either.
Leave a margin between the two. Arriving at the mosque rushed and still warm from a session is the thing this plan is meant to avoid.
Access for a short stay, and what to pack
- Ask whether a day pass or a weekly pass is available for your dates. Both come and go during the year, so the team confirms whether either is on offer, its price and what it includes.
- Check which section your access covers, if a woman in your group would rather train in a women-only space.
- Pack training shoes, a water bottle and the change of clothes for the mosque.
- Ask what you need to bring to register on your first visit.
- The route box covers driving only. If you will not have a car, work out the trip before you rely on it.
Your hotel may have a gym of its own, and for a light session that can be enough. A full club adds a squat rack, plate-loaded machines and a functional area, plus coaching and the recovery suite. Full gym or hotel gym sets out when the trip is worth making. RPM has no arrangement with any hotel.
The recovery suite has a Finnish sauna, an aroma steam room and an ice bath, which some visitors like after a long day on their feet. Whether a pass includes it is a question for the team, and anyone pregnant or with a heart condition should check with a doctor before using heat or cold.
From the mosque district into Al Manhal
The mapped route finishes along Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street (Airport Road) into Al Manhal and counts as a short cross-island trip. The figures assume clear roads, so allow more at busy hours and on the evening before a weekend.
If someone drives you, AD HUB has free on-site parking while you train, and a lift up to Level 4. If you take a taxi, ask for AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal rather than for RPM.

Questions, answered.
Is there an RPM gym by the Grand Mosque?
No. The club's only location is Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex, in Al Manhal. From the mosque it is a short cross-island trip, and the route box above shows the mapped estimates.
Can I head to the mosque straight after training?
Change first. The mosque's manners page covers dress and conduct, so dress for the visit rather than the gym. Pack a change of clothes and give yourself time to get ready at the club before you set off.
Can women in our group train in a women-only area?
Yes. The Ladies section admits women only and has strength and cardio machines of its own, plus the Pilates studio. Confirm that the access you are offered covers it.
We are visiting during Ramadan. What changes?
Opening hours across the city often change in Ramadan, the club's included, and the mosque's hours page says its times change too. Check both before you plan, and allow for heavier traffic in the hour before iftar.
Can my hotel arrange access to RPM?
No. RPM has no arrangement with any hotel. Ask the team directly what short-term access is available for your dates, and what it includes.
