Who this page is for, and what it leaves out
The route box above measures from Abu Dhabi's Main Bus Terminal on Sultan Bin Zayed The First Street, as mapped. This page is for two groups: people arriving by intercity bus from another city or emirate who want to train while they are here, and Abu Dhabi residents without a car who use the buses to get around.
RPM is one club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, and by road it is a short drive from the terminal. For the wider picture, see RPM's one club, for anyone who gets around without a car. This page gives no bus routes, timetables or walking directions. Those change, so check them with the official public transport information for your own trip.
The last leg is the part to plan
| How you finish the trip | What to plan for |
|---|---|
| A taxi or ride-hailing car | Ask for AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal rather than for RPM, and check the pin before you confirm |
| A lift from a friend or relative | Where they will drop you and collect you, and what happens if your session runs over |
| A connecting bus | Whether a service runs at your hour, using the official trip planner rather than this page |
| On foot | The route box does not measure a walking route, so check the way yourself, and from May to September even a short walk is hard work |
If someone drives you, AD HUB has free on-site parking where they can wait, and a lift takes you up to Level 4. The contact page has the address and a map to show a driver.
In for the day: bags, timing and access
A day trip by bus usually means carrying everything with you and keeping one eye on the trip home. A plan that works for many day visitors:
- Before you travel, ask whether a day pass is available on your date. Because passes come and go, the team confirms whether one is running, its price and what it covers.
- Travel light. The changing area has keypad lockers, but ask the team before bringing a suitcase or a large holdall, as space for big bags is not something to assume.
- Train first, while you are fresh off the bus rather than worn out from the day.
- Freshen up at the grooming hub, where the vanity area has hairdryers and products. Ask whether towels are provided and about showers, so you pack the right things.
- Leave a generous margin before your bus home, and check its time again on the day.
Staying a few days rather than one? Which gyms suit short-term visitors compares the options, and a weekly pass may be worth asking about.
Living in Abu Dhabi without a car
If buses are how you get around the city, the terminal may already be part of your week. Being close to it by road does not settle the question on its own, though. What matters is whether the whole door-to-door trip works at the hour you would train, and how you get home after an evening session.
- Do the full trip once, at your usual training hour, before you join.
- Note how long the wait and any walking take, not just the time on the bus.
- Plan the way home around closing time, especially on Fridays, when hours are shorter.
- Add the weekly cost of fares or taxis to the membership price when you compare gyms.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
Women who would rather train among women can use the Ladies section, which has its own strength and cardio equipment and the Pilates studio. Before a first visit, ask the team how to find it on arrival.
Questions, answered.
Is RPM inside the central bus station?
No. The gym is on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, its only location. It is close to the terminal by road, and the route box above shows the mapped drive.
Which bus goes to AD HUB Sports Complex?
This page does not list bus routes, because they change. Search for AD HUB Sports Complex in the official public transport trip planner at the hour you plan to travel.
Can I bring a suitcase into the gym?
Ask the team before you do. The changing area has keypad lockers for everyday bags, but room for luggage is not confirmed, so check first.
I am only in Abu Dhabi for the day. Is a session realistic?
It can be, if the team confirms a day pass for your date and you leave plenty of time for the bus home. Train early in your visit, then see the city.
Can I walk from the terminal to RPM?
The route box measures a drive, not a walk, so this page cannot describe a walking route. Check the way yourself before relying on it, and in the hot months a taxi is usually the easier choice.
