Crossing onto Al Maryah, not leaving it
The Galleria is a mall on Al Maryah Island, which is reached from the main island by bridge. This page is for the people who come to it rather than the people who live there: shoppers heading over for an evening out, and staff who work its shops on a rota.
Unless you live on Al Maryah, your day starts somewhere off it. RPM is one club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, on the main-island side of the bridge, so the useful question is where the session sits around the crossing. The basics are on RPM's location, seen from a trip onto Al Maryah Island.
Visitors: train, get ready, then drive over
An evening on Al Maryah is easier to enjoy when the training is already done. This order works for most people:
- Pack two bags in the morning, one for training and one with the clothes you will wear later.
- Train in the late afternoon. Favour strength work over hard intervals at the end, so you are not still flushed when you arrive.
- Get ready at the club. The grooming hub has a vanity area with hairdryers and products, and the keypad lockers in the changing area hold your evening clothes while you train. Ask the team about showers, and whether towels are provided, before you rely on them.
- Drive across to Al Maryah Island with the session behind you.
Training after the evening instead rarely works. A late night out followed by a session leaves you short of both sleep and energy, so keep the gym at the front of the day.
Staff on a Galleria rota: three rules for the bridge
If you work in a shop at The Galleria and live off the island, the bridge is part of every working day. Use it to decide where the session goes.
| Your day | Where the session sits | Bring |
|---|---|---|
| A late start | Train first on the main island, then cross for the shift | Your uniform on a hanger and a small wash bag |
| An early finish | Cross back first, then train on your side of the bridge | A spare set of clothes left in the car |
| A day off | No crossing at all: RPM is a main-island trip | Time for a longer session or a coach |
Shop rotas change week to week, so plan sessions once the rota is out rather than in advance.
A day off is the most useful training day most staff have. Use it for heavier lifting, a booked session with a coach or, if your tier includes it, the recovery suite. Check with your doctor before using the sauna, steam room or ice bath if you are pregnant or have a heart condition.
If your daily drive takes you across the centre of the island anyway, the guide for people commuting through central Abu Dhabi shows how to place a gym on that line.
The bridge, Salam Street and the car park
The mapped route from The Galleria crosses off the island and follows Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street (Salam Street), then the final stretch on Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Street into AD HUB. The route box rates it a short cross-island trip, and office traffic on both islands can stretch it at the start and end of the working day.
AD HUB's parking is free and on site, and the lift goes to Level 4, which keeps a pre-shift session tidy: park, train, get ready, and go.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
The club opens early and stays open late, with a shorter Friday and different times in Ramadan. Set those against your shift pattern or your evening plans.
Test it on the evening you would use
Book the free guided tour for the hour you would really train: a late afternoon before an evening out, or the morning before a late shift. A team member shows you round, and no workout is involved. Ask about:
- Which tier covers what you want, with prices shared on enquiry.
- Whether a day pass is available if you only plan the occasional session before an evening out. The team confirms availability, price and inclusions.
- How the grooming hub and changing area work at the hour you would come.
- For women, whether the tier covers the Ladies section, with its own strength and cardio equipment and the Pilates studio.
Questions, answered.
Is RPM at The Galleria or anywhere on Al Maryah Island?
No. RPM's one club is in Al Manhal on the main island, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex. The route box shows the mapped trip from The Galleria.
Should I train before or after an evening at The Galleria?
Before. A session after a late evening out costs sleep and rarely goes well, while a session first leaves the evening clear.
Will a session before a late shift leave me too tired for work?
Keep pre-shift sessions moderate: a few strength exercises, not a punishing workout. Save the hardest sessions for days off, and tell a coach about your shifts so the week is balanced.
Our store team would like to train together. Who should we ask?
Start with your manager or HR team. RPM sets up corporate arrangements with each organisation separately, and the details are confirmed on enquiry. Men and women on the team can train together in the Mixed section.
