A holiday at Bab Al Qasr where one of you trains and one does not

If only one of you wants to train during a holiday at Bab Al Qasr, put the sessions at RPM in the hours the rest of the party is asleep, at the beach or at the spa, and keep every shared plan intact. RPM's single club is in Al Manhal, and the drive there counts as a short cross-island trip in the route box. Count the sessions before you ask about a weekly pass, and get availability, price and inclusions confirmed by the team.

One of you wants the gym, the other wants the beach

Bab Al Qasr is a hotel on the Corniche, which its website now presents as The Biltmore Bab Al Qasr. This page is for couples and families on a holiday stay there, where one person wants to keep training and the others came to rest.

That split works well, as long as training never eats into the shared parts of the day. RPM is unconnected to the hotel. You will find its one club on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal. Before you plan, read how RPM's one club fits a holiday shared with someone who skips the gym.

What the hotel lists for whoever stays behind

The hotel's website describes plenty for the rest of the party while one person is out training.

Listed on the hotel's websiteSuits
A private beach, with water sportsA morning on the sand for whoever is not training
An infinity pool and a children's poolChildren, and the parent who stays with them
Ayana Spa, with a separate spa and hammam for men and for women, each on its own floorA treatment booked for the same hours as a session
A gymLight sessions for the one who trains, on days without a trip

These details come from the hotel's own website. Book and check them with the hotel.

Three trips in a week is plenty for most holidays, and nobody else waits around for any of them. If you have a single hire car, take a taxi to RPM and leave the car with whoever has the children.

A week's pass or single days: count before you ask

Count the trips before you message the team. One or two visits usually point to single days, while three or more make a week's pass worth asking about. Day passes or a weekly pass walks through the sum. Then ask:

  • Whether a weekly pass is available for your exact dates, its price and what it covers. All of that is time-sensitive and confirmed by the team.
  • Which section the pass covers. Women can train in the Mixed section or ask about the women-only Ladies section.
  • Whether the recovery suite is included.
  • If the one who does not train fancies a single session or a class, whether a day pass is on offer for that date.

From the Corniche to Level 4

The mapped route heads inland along King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, and the route box rates it a short cross-island trip. AD HUB has free on-site parking and a lift to Level 4, so a hire car is easy to leave while you train.

DaysOpening hours
Saturday to Thursday06:00–23:00
Friday09:00–22:00

Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.

An early start means you can be back before the beach day begins. Friday hours are shorter, and Ramadan has its own times.

// Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

Is RPM part of Bab Al Qasr?

No. RPM's one club sits on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal and has no tie to the hotel. The route box shows the mapped drive from the Corniche.

Can my partner come along and wait while I train?

Ask the team whether a guest who is not training can wait at the club. It is often simpler to meet afterwards for lunch.

Could we train together once during the holiday?

Yes. Men and women share the Mixed section, so a couple can train side by side. Confirm what each person's access covers before the day.

Our teenager wants to train with me. Is that allowed?

Youth fitness at RPM is supervised by a coach and arranged and approved by a parent or guardian. Ask the team which ages each session accepts before you promise anything.

Is RPM's recovery suite open to holiday visitors?

Only if your pass includes it, so ask. The suite has a Finnish sauna and an aroma steam room as well as an ice bath. Strong heat and cold are not suitable for everyone, and pregnancy or a heart condition means checking with a doctor first.
