Thirty nights at the Emirates Pearl, and a gym habit to match
Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Residences Emirates Pearl stands at the western end of the Corniche. This page is for guests booked in for around a month, in a hotel room or in the residences its name refers to, for a relocation, a project or a long family visit.
A stay that long behaves more like ordinary life than a holiday, so training can run that way too. RPM has no arrangement with the hotel or the tower: it is one club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal. Read how a month-long guest at the Emirates Pearl can weigh up RPM, then plan the four weeks below.
What each week of the month is for
Four weeks fall into a natural order. The early ones build the habit, and the later ones decide what you take away from it.
| Week | Main aim | At RPM | Settle before the week ends |
|---|---|---|---|
| First | Learn the club and the drive | The free guided tour, then two moderate sessions | Your two fixed slots, and which section your access covers |
| Second | Lock the slots in | Two or three sessions, on the same days and at the same hours as the first week | Whether you want a coach to check your technique |
| Third | The hardest training of the month | Your normal loads, with one session coached if you booked it | What happens to your training after check-out |
| Fourth | Hand the routine on | Two sessions, the last one lighter | Notes on loads and machine settings to take with you |
If travel or work wipes out a week, restart from the last entry in your log rather than making up the missed sessions.
A month easily clears the test of how long a hotel stay must be before a full gym pays off. The usual way it slips is waiting to feel settled, so book the tour and the first session in the first days.
Two fixed slots, chosen from the western end
From the western end of the Corniche, the hour you leave matters as much as the session. The mapped route runs along King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street and ends on Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Street into AD HUB, a short cross-island trip in the route box's terms. Once there, leave the car in AD HUB's free on-site parking and take the lift up to Level 4.
- Keep both slots clear of the hours when offices open and close, as the cross-island roads carry that traffic.
- Skip Friday as a fixed day. Club hours are shorter, and the midday prayers shape the roads and most plans.
- Put a slot on a day that already takes you inland, such as a flat viewing or an appointment in the centre.
- Use the same days in all four weeks. A slot that moves every week is the one that gets skipped.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
Access for the whole month, settled once
A month sits awkwardly between short passes and a membership. The guide to gym access for a one-month stay compares the routes, so this page leaves that to it. What matters here is one message to the team that covers the entire stay. Put these in it:
- Your arrival and departure dates, and whether access can begin the day after you land.
- Whether back-to-back weekly passes or a short membership suits a month. Passes are time-sensitive, so have price and inclusions confirmed for your dates, in writing.
- Which section the access covers. Men train in the Mixed section, and a woman in your party can ask about the women-only Ladies section and its Pilates studio.
- Whether the recovery suite is included, if you want it. Anyone pregnant or with a heart condition should ask a doctor before using the sauna, steam room or ice bath.
- Whether a coached check-in for the second or third week can be booked now through personal training.
If the month turns into a move
Some month-long stays end with a decision to stay on in Abu Dhabi. If yours might, judge RPM in the last week as a permanent gym, because the trip changes once you have an address.
- Measure the trip again from the area you are likely to live in. The route box on this page starts at the Emirates Pearl, not at your future front door.
- Ask how the tiers differ. Floor covers the training floor, Engine adds coached programming and Atelier is built around one-to-one coaching, with inclusions and prices confirmed on enquiry.
- If the household will join you, work out who would use which section before anyone picks a tier.

Questions, answered.
Is RPM part of the Grand Hyatt, or inside the Emirates Pearl tower?
No. RPM has no connection with the hotel or the tower, and its single club sits inland, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal.
I will be away for a week in the middle of the month. Does my access pause?
Ask the team before you pay for anything. Whether access can pause, or should cover only the weeks you are here, depends on what is on offer for your dates.
Can I leave my kit at the club between sessions?
Keypad lockers in the changing area hold your things while you train. Whether anything can stay overnight is for the team to answer, so ask.
My month runs through Ramadan. What changes?
Ask the team for the club's Ramadan hours. If you are fasting, plan shorter sessions after iftar and move both fixed slots to match.
Is a month long enough to see progress?
It is long enough to learn the club and settle a routine. How much fitness changes in four weeks varies from person to person, so judge the month on whether the habit held.
