From the school gate to Level 4
The school's website describes The British School Al Khubairat as a British, not-for-profit, co-educational day school. This page is for the parents who drive there every morning and come back every afternoon, and it says nothing more about the school. RPM is a separate business with one club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, close to the school, with free on-site parking and a lift up from the car park.
A short trip changes the question. You are not asking whether the drive is worth it but how to use the hours the school day hands you. For the general checks first, read RPM's single club, timed against the school gate.
Ordinary days and activity days
The school's A Day at BSAK page says the school week runs from Monday to Friday for all year groups, and that an after-school co-curricular programme is open to Years 3 to 13. That gives most families two kinds of day:
| Your child's day | Your window | What fits at RPM |
|---|---|---|
| Collected when lessons end | From drop-off until the afternoon run | A full session: a class or a coached hour, then strength work, with time to get ready afterwards |
| Staying for a co-curricular activity | A longer afternoon, or a second window later in the day | Train in the afternoon and keep the morning for work or errands |
| Two children with different finishing times | Two shorter gaps instead of one long one | A focused session in the larger gap, planned to a fixed length |
| A Friday | The same school day, but shorter club hours | Check the hours block before you plan the session |
Write the activity days into your week at the start of each term. They are the most reliable long windows you will get.
For mothers: the Ladies section in the gap
The Ladies section is a women-only area with its own strength and cardio equipment and the Pilates studio, where reformer classes run. Female coaches on the roster work there, among them Giana Suleiman Daqnoush, who leads Pilates and aerobic classes, and Imen Hasnaoui, the combat and self-defence coach. Take these questions to the tour:
- Which reformer or group classes fall inside your window, given that the timetable changes.
- Whether your tier covers the Ladies section, and the Pilates studio within it.
- Which female coach could see you at the same hour each week, so a one-to-one session becomes part of the school routine.
- Where to get ready afterwards: keypad lockers in the changing area, and hairdryers and products at the grooming hub vanity. It is worth asking about showers, and whether towels are provided.
If you are pregnant or have recently had a baby, speak to your doctor before starting, and tell the coach before your first session.
Fathers, shared school runs and teenage children
- Fathers train in the Mixed section. A drop-off followed by a session, then the drive to the office, works when work starts late enough.
- Families who share driving with other parents get a different window on their days off duty: the whole school day is open, so pick those days for the longest sessions.
- Two parents can split the day: one drops off and trains, the other collects, and the next day you swap.
- Teenagers who want to train can join coach-supervised youth fitness, arranged and approved by a parent or guardian. Check the age range for each session with the team.
Half term, Eid and the long summer
The school's term dates page sets out three terms with a half-term break, and marks the Eid holidays as provisional because they depend on the moon sighting. When the children are at home, the daytime window closes, so plan the gaps in advance:
- Half term and Eid: an early session before the family's day starts, or evenings while another adult is home.
- The summer: if you stay in Abu Dhabi, keep one or two fixed slots a week. If you travel, ask the team how your membership handles the weeks away.
- Ramadan: school and club hours can both change, so rebuild the routine once the new times are out.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
Along Al Karamah Street, and a first visit after drop-off
The mapped route from the school runs along Al Karamah Street to AD HUB. Book the free guided tour for straight after a normal drop-off, so you test the timing you would really use. The tour shows you the floors and the studio, and it is not a workout. RPM does not publish prices, so ask the team what applies to you.

Questions, answered.
Is RPM connected with The British School Al Khubairat?
No. RPM is an independent club with one location, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, close to the school but with no link to it. The mapped trip is in the route box above.
Can I bring a younger child who is not at school yet?
Ask the team about the rules for children who come with a parent before you plan on it. Most parents find it easier to train while a younger child is at nursery or with another adult.
How long a session fits between drop-off and collection?
On an ordinary day, usually a full one, including getting ready afterwards. Leave a margin for the drive back, because the afternoon run near any school tends to be slower than the morning.
Is a reformer class suitable after a long break from exercise?
Ask which classes suit a returner and whether an introduction comes first. The reformer Pilates page explains the classes. If you have an injury or are postnatal, check with your doctor before you begin.
Is there a rate for parents at the school?
RPM does not publish prices and has no arrangement with the school. What each tier includes, and its price, is confirmed when you enquire.
