A headquarters with its own fitness zone
Aldar's website describes Aldar Square as its new headquarters, beside Yas Mall on Yas Island. Among the building's facilities it lists a gym and fitness zone, changing rooms, a yoga and meditation room, a basketball court and a padel court. Ask your employer what each includes and when staff can use it, because that answer decides most of what follows.
RPM has no arrangement with Aldar. It is one club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal on the main island, and the route box rates the drive from Aldar Square a mainland commute. For the general checks on any gym trip, read RPM's one club, set against an office that has its own fitness zone.
What the office covers, and where a full club adds something
Be honest about what you want from training before adding a second gym. RPM cannot confirm what the office facilities include, so read the middle column as a set of questions:
| What you want | Ask about the office facilities | What RPM offers |
|---|---|---|
| A short session at lunch or straight after work | Opening times and how busy it gets | Nothing the office cannot do more easily on a workday |
| Heavy barbell work | Whether it has a squat rack and bumper plates | A squat rack with colour bumper plates, fixed barbells and plate-loaded machines |
| Training among women only, and reformer Pilates | Whether any space or time is set aside for women | The women-only Ladies section, with its own equipment and the Pilates studio |
| A programme run by one coach | Whether coaching is available | Personal training, or the Atelier tier, built around one-to-one coaching |
| Heat and cold once a session is over | What the wellbeing spaces include | A recovery suite with a Finnish sauna, an aroma steam room and an ice bath |
| Training at the weekend, from home | Weekend access, if any | A club on the main island, at the home end of your week |
Before using the sauna, steam room or ice bath, check with your doctor if you are pregnant or have a heart condition. The team can tell you which tiers include the recovery suite.
Staff who live on the main island
If you drive out to Yas each morning and back each evening, the office gym serves the working day and RPM serves the rest of it. The guide for professionals living on the island looks at that choice from the home side. In practice, RPM fits:
- Saturday and Sunday, when there is no reason to drive back out to Yas.
- Evenings after the drive home, for a coached session the office cannot host.
- Days working from home, if your role allows them.
- A partner or family member on the main island who wants the same club, including women who prefer the Ladies section.
If you also live on Yas, both ends of your day are on the island, and RPM is an occasional trip at most.
A split week, worked through
| Day | Where you train | Session |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Office facilities at Aldar Square | A short strength session at lunch |
| Tuesday | None | Rest, or a walk once the heat drops |
| Wednesday | Office facilities | Cardio or a class, if one is offered |
| Thursday | RPM, after the drive home | A coached session with heavier lifting |
| Friday | None | Rest. Friday prayers fall at midday, and the club closes earlier |
| Saturday | RPM | A long session, then the recovery suite if your tier includes it |
| Sunday | None | Rest |
An example, not a rule. Move the days to match your own office pattern.
A coach through personal training can write the office-gym sessions as well as the ones at RPM, so the week runs as one plan rather than two.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
Salam Street and the drive back from Yas
The mapped route from Aldar Square follows Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street and Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street (Salam Street), then the final stretch on Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Street into AD HUB, with free on-site parking and a lift to Level 4. If you would train at the home end, time the trip from your own door at the hour you would go.
Book the free guided tour on a Saturday, the day RPM is most likely to suit you. If colleagues want a group arrangement, HR can ask about corporate arrangements, which are tailored to each organisation and confirmed on enquiry.

Questions, answered.
Is RPM at Aldar Square or anywhere on Yas Island?
No. RPM's only club is in Al Manhal, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex, on the main island. From Aldar Square it is a mainland commute, and the route box shows the mapped estimates.
My office has a gym. Why would I join RPM as well?
Only for something the office facility does not give you. Find out what it includes first, then look at RPM for the gaps, such as weekend training from home, a coach or the Ladies section.
I live on Yas Island too. Is RPM worth it?
Rarely. With home and office both on Yas, a gym on the island will be easier. Keep RPM for a planned weekend visit if you want something specific.
Can women colleagues train in a women-only space at RPM?
Yes. The Ladies section is reserved for women and has its own equipment and the Pilates studio, with female coaches from the roster working there. Each colleague should confirm that her tier covers it.
Does RPM have a deal with Aldar for staff?
No. RPM has no arrangement with Aldar. Prices are not published online, and tier inclusions are confirmed on enquiry.
