Offices on Reem, homes somewhere else
Al Reem Island is reached from the main island by bridge, and plenty of people cross onto it only to work. This page is for them: office staff whose desk is on Reem and whose home is somewhere off it. Residents of Reem face a different question, because every session for them begins by leaving home.
RPM has a single address: Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex, in Al Manhal on the main island. The route box measures from Al Reem Island and rates the trip a short cross-island trip, with a bridge in it. An office day usually ends at a predictable time, so evenings can be planned. For the wider checks, read planning a gym stop on the drive home from a Reem office.
Stop or detour? It depends where you sleep
Where the evening ends decides how much driving a session adds:
- Home on the main island: the session can sit between the bridge and your front door. Try it first on an evening with nothing after it.
- Home on the mainland: a session in Al Manhal usually means driving further into the island before heading out. One or two evenings a week, for coaching, the Ladies section or the recovery suite, is a realistic ceiling, and a gym by home may suit everyday training better.
- Home on Reem: a session means crossing off the island and back, a resident's outing rather than a commuter's stop.
For the general comparison between a gym by the office and one by home, see the guide to choosing an office-side or home-side gym.
Pick stop evenings at breakfast, from the calendar
A decision made at the end of a tiring day tends to come out as straight home. Make it in the morning instead, from what the calendar already shows:
| What the calendar shows | Stop or straight home | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Meetings that usually end on time | Stop | A predictable finish keeps the session in the evening, not the night |
| A late call with another time zone | Straight home, or train that morning instead | A session after a late call eats into sleep |
| A day working from home | No stop | Train from home at a quieter hour, or rest |
| The last office day of the week | Stop, and stay longer | No early start the next morning |
| A client dinner or a family event | Straight home, or a short session before it | Leave time to get ready |
Two stop evenings a week, chosen this way, usually last through busy months better than a promise to go every day.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
Ramadan can bring different club times, and office hours often change that month too.
What waits at home sets the length of the session
| Waiting at home | Session size | What it looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Nobody expecting you at a set time | Full | A complete session on the training floor, or a group class |
| Dinner at a fixed time | Short | A warm-up, one main lift and one accessory, then back to the car |
| A child's bedtime you want to be there for | Short, on fewer evenings | Stop only on the nights another adult covers bedtime |
| Plans out later in the evening | Standard, then get ready at the club | A normal session, then the vanity area before you head out |
On a long evening, the recovery suite has a Finnish sauna, an aroma steam room and an ice bath. If you are pregnant or have a heart condition, speak to your doctor before using heat or cold, and ask whether your tier includes the suite.
Pack the bag in the morning and leave it in the car. Keypad lockers in the changing area hold work clothes and valuables, and the grooming hub has hairdryers and products. Ask about towels and showers before your first stop.
The bridge, the mapped route and a colleague in the passenger seat
Mapped from Al Reem Island, the route follows Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street (Salam Street) and Hazza' Bin Zayed The First Street (Defence Road) before its final stretch on Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Street into AD HUB. Evening traffic leaving Reem can stretch the trip past the route box's minimum, so drive it once at your real leaving time. At AD HUB there is free on-site parking, then a lift to Level 4.
A colleague heading home in the same direction turns a stop into a fixed appointment. The Mixed section takes men and women together, and a woman colleague can also choose the women-only Ladies section if her tier includes it. If several people in your office are interested, ask HR about corporate arrangements, which RPM sets up with each organisation on enquiry.
Questions, answered.
Is there an RPM club anywhere on Reem?
No. The club is on the main island, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, and it is the only one. The route box shows the mapped trip from Reem.
Could I train before work instead, on the way onto Reem?
You can, if the club's opening time and your start time leave room. The morning drive onto Reem can meet the inbound office traffic, so test it on a day without an early meeting.
I live on the mainland. Is RPM worth it at all?
For everyday training, a gym by home or by the office will usually be easier. RPM earns the extra driving when you want something specific: a coach, the Ladies section, heavy free weights or the recovery suite.
What about the days I work from home?
Plan those days separately. The trip from home is a different one, so time it, and use the home day for a midday session if your hours allow.
Is a stop worth it if I can only stay a short while?
Yes, if the session is decided before you arrive. A warm-up, one main lift and one accessory keeps the habit going on busy evenings, and the longer session can wait for the weekend.
