A tower with amenities, and the question that follows
Nation Towers is a tower development on Abu Dhabi's Corniche, and this page is for the people who live in it. Residential towers like it often list a residents' gym or a fitness room among their amenities. Check exactly what yours includes, because everything below starts from that list.
RPM is one club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, and from the Corniche towers it is a short cross-island trip. That trip only makes sense if the club gives you something the lift ride downstairs does not. Before you decide, read RPM's one address, weighed against the lift ride downstairs.
Name the gap, then match it to a tier
Most people who are unhappy with a building gym are short of one of five things. Find yours in the left column. The tier column tells you what to ask about, and the team confirms what each tier includes and costs.
| The gap | How it shows | What fills it at RPM | Ask about |
|---|---|---|---|
| Equipment | You have outgrown the dumbbells and there is no rack | Squat rack with colour bumper plates, plate-loaded machines, cable towers | Floor, the training-floor tier |
| A plan | You go, but you are not sure what to do or whether it is working | Programming written and adjusted by coaches | Engine, which adds coached programming |
| Turning up | You skip sessions when nobody expects you | A coach waiting at a booked time | Atelier, built around one-to-one coaching, or personal training |
| Space | A woman at home wants to train among women only | The Ladies section, with its own equipment and the Pilates studio | Which tiers cover the Ladies section |
| Recovery | You want heat or cold after hard sessions | Heat in the Finnish sauna or steam room, cold in the ice bath | Which tiers include the recovery suite |
If you are pregnant or have a heart condition, talk to your doctor before using the sauna, steam room or ice bath.
More than one gap usually means a higher tier rather than two separate purchases. The membership page explains the three tiers and the terms to get in writing before you sign.
Not everyone in the flat needs a membership
A household in one flat often has several different reasons to train. Go person by person rather than buying the same thing for everyone.
| Person at home | The building gym covers | RPM adds |
|---|---|---|
| Someone who mainly walks or runs | Treadmill days, with outdoor runs in the cooler months | Possibly nothing. Keep the money |
| Someone who lifts seriously | Warm-ups and light days | The full strength floor on the Floor tier |
| A beginner who wants guidance | Very little without a plan | A coach's programme through Engine, or a few personal training sessions to start |
| A woman who prefers a women-only space | Whatever the shared room allows | The Ladies section and reformer classes, if her tier covers them |
| A teenager who wants to train | Not usually suitable without supervision | Coach-supervised youth sessions, arranged and approved by a parent |
For a beginner, a few sessions of personal training are a common first step. For teenagers, ask the team which ages each session accepts, and see the youth fitness page.
Two fixed trips a week, with the building doing the rest
Once you know what RPM is for, the building gym can carry the easy days and the club only needs to see you on the sessions that use what you are paying for. Two fixed trips a week is a realistic rhythm from the towers.
The mapped route follows Zayed The First Street (Electra Street) across downtown, then Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street (Airport Road) into Al Manhal. The route box rates it a short cross-island trip, and downtown at office hours can add to it. AD HUB's on-site parking is free, and the lift takes you up to Level 4.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
The club opens early and closes late, with shorter Friday hours and Ramadan changes. Pick your two fixed trips from the table above, then keep everything else downstairs.
Questions for the tour, tier by tier
The free guided tour is a walk-through with a member of the team. Take the gap you named, and the household table, and ask:
- Floor: which sections and facilities it covers.
- Engine: what coached programming looks like week to week, and how it is adjusted.
- Atelier: how one-to-one sessions are scheduled, and how many a typical week includes.
- For each person: whether their tier covers the Ladies section or the recovery suite.
- Prices for each option, which are shared on enquiry rather than published.
- Whether a day pass is available so you can test the floor first. Availability and price are time-sensitive, so the team confirms them.
Questions, answered.
Is RPM inside Nation Towers?
No. RPM has one club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, and reaching it from the towers means crossing the island. The route box at the top gives the mapped estimates.
Can two people in one flat choose different tiers?
Ask the team, since inclusions and prices are confirmed on enquiry. Matching each person to their own gap is usually better value than buying the same tier twice.
Does Engine mean a coach stands over every session?
Engine adds coached programming to the training floor. Atelier is the tier built around one-to-one coaching. Ask the team exactly what each involves before you choose.
Can I start on one tier and move later?
Ask how moving between tiers works, and get the terms in writing, before you sign. Membership terms are not published online.
Is the building gym enough for a complete beginner?
It can be, if it has basic equipment and you have a plan. Most beginners get further with a few coached sessions at the start, even if they train downstairs afterwards.
