A hospital for women and newborns, a section for women only
SEHA's page for Corniche Hospital describes it as a hospital for women's and newborn care in Abu Dhabi, and gives its address as Al Zahiyah. This page says nothing more about the hospital or its work. It is for the people who work there and want to train, and mostly for the women among them who would rather train away from men.
RPM is one club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, and it has no link with the hospital or with SEHA. The route box rates the drive from the hospital a short cross-island trip. For the wider checks before you decide, see how women coming from Al Zahiyah can size up RPM's single club.
The two sections, side by side
RPM has two sections, and the choice between them shapes the rest: who you train beside, which equipment you use and which coaches you see.
| Question | Ladies section | Mixed section |
|---|---|---|
| Who trains there | Women only | Men and women together |
| Strength and cardio equipment | Its own, apart from the main floor | The main floor, with plate-loaded machines, barbells, cable towers and a squat rack |
| Pilates | The studio and its reformer classes | None, because the studio sits inside the Ladies section |
| Turf lane, sled and battle ropes | Ask what the section offers for this kind of work | In the functional area |
| Coaches | Women coaches from the roster | Coaches for strength and physique work, among others |
| Training beside a male colleague or relative | Not possible | Possible |
| Covered by your tier? | Confirm before joining | Confirm before joining |
Which sections a membership covers depends on the tier, whether Floor, Engine or Atelier, so confirm it when you enquire.
If your tier covers both, you can split the week: the Ladies section for most sessions, and the Mixed section on days you want the turf lane or want to train beside a husband or brother. Read about the Ladies section before the tour, so you know what to look for.
Who you would train with in the Ladies section
On the coaching roster, these women work in this section. Each covers different ground, so match the coach to what you want from the next few months:
- Coach Maria (strength and conditioning): for learning the main lifts and building strength step by step.
- Giana Suleiman Daqnoush (Pilates and aerobic classes): for reformer work in the studio.
- Imen Hasnaoui (combat and self-defence): for fitness boxing on bags and pads.
- Asma Jamousi Zadeh (conditioning): for the harder sessions that leave you out of breath.
If you want sessions booked one to one, read about a female personal trainer before you ask. The studio photos show trapeze-table frames and a ladder barrel as well as reformers, some with towers, so check which apparatus a given class uses.
From Al Zahiyah along Corniche Street
The mapped route from the hospital runs along Corniche Street, then Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street (Airport Road) into Al Manhal. At AD HUB there is free on-site parking, and a lift goes up to Level 4. The route box gives the mapped estimates for this short cross-island trip.
Because the trip crosses the island, it suits some parts of a working week better than others:
- After a day shift, when home lies beyond Al Manhal: the session sits on your way back.
- On a day off: the longest session of the week, or a reformer class.
- Before a late start: a shorter session, with time left to change and get to work.
- After a night shift: not at all, because sleep comes first.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
Settling it on the free tour
The free guided tour is a walk-through with a member of the team, not a workout, and it is where you judge the Ladies section for yourself instead of relying on a description. Book it on a day off and take these questions:
- How do I reach the Ladies section from the lift, and who else passes that way?
- Which tier covers the Ladies section, and does it include the Mixed section too?
- Which coaches work in the section on the days I am usually off?
- How are reformer classes booked, and what happens if a shift change makes me cancel?
- Are towels provided, and what are the changing and shower arrangements?

Questions, answered.
Is RPM connected with Corniche Hospital or SEHA?
No. RPM is an independent club whose one location is on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, not in Al Zahiyah. It has no arrangement with the hospital or with SEHA, and its prices are shared on enquiry.
Can I train with a male colleague?
Yes. Men and women share the Mixed section, so train together there. The Ladies section is for women only, so plan joint sessions on the main floor.
Do I need the Ladies section, or will the Mixed section do?
That is your choice. The Mixed section has the main training floor and the functional area. The Ladies section gives you a floor among women only, plus the Pilates studio. If you are unsure, see both on the tour.
I work rotating shifts. Will a reformer class fit?
Classes run in both sections and the timetable changes, so ask the team which reformer classes fall on your usual days off. Book on a day with no shift, so an overrun cannot cost you the class.
Can I try it before I join?
The free tour shows you round, but it is not a workout. If you want to train before deciding, ask whether a day pass or weekly pass is available. Passes change over time, so availability, price and inclusions are for the team to confirm.
