Two stops, one evening
Al Qana's own website describes it as a waterfront destination for dining and entertainment, and lists The National Aquarium among its attractions. The route box above measures from the aquarium. This page is for people who go there for an evening out or a weekend afternoon, whether they live in Abu Dhabi or are visiting, and who would like to fit training into the same day.
RPM is not at Al Qana. It is one club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, and the basics are on RPM's location, weighed against an evening out by the water. Because the trip between the two is a longer one, the plan that holds is a single outing with the session at the start of it.
From the training floor to the dinner table
- Pack two sets of clothes: training kit, and whatever you will wear at dinner.
- Keep the session to the time you have. A main lift and a short finisher on the turf lane suit an evening that has somewhere to be.
- Leave your bag in a keypad locker in the changing area while you train.
- Change and dry your hair at the grooming hub, where the vanity area has hairdryers and products. Ask the team about showers and whether towels are provided before the first time.
- Drive out to Al Qana with the session already done, rather than coming back to the gym afterwards.
The mapped route from Al Qana follows Al Maqta' Street and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, then Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street (Airport Road) into Al Manhal. After a session you drive it the other way. The figures assume clear roads, and evenings before a weekend tend to be busier.
Weekend plans that pair a session with Al Qana
| Who is going | At RPM | At Al Qana | Worth checking |
|---|---|---|---|
| A family on a Saturday | One adult trains in the morning while the day is quiet | The afternoon, with the children | Time to get everyone ready before the drive |
| A group of friends | A group class or a shared session in the Mixed section | Dinner afterwards | What is on the current class timetable |
| A couple | Training side by side in the Mixed section, or in separate sections | A late dinner | That each person's tier covers their section |
| Anyone on a Friday | An earlier session, as club hours are shorter | Later in the day | Midday prayers shape the middle of a Friday |
Group classes run in both sections, and the timetable changes, so ask the team which classes finish early enough to leave the evening for the outing.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
Visiting Abu Dhabi, with Al Qana on the list
If you are in the city for a short stay and Al Qana is one of your evenings, a session at RPM is possible, but settle the details before you travel.
- Check whether the team can offer a day pass or a weekly pass on the dates you are here. These change over time, so availability, price and inclusions come from the team. Day pass or weekly pass helps you choose between them.
- Plan the trip. The route box covers driving only, so if you will not have a car, work out how you will reach Al Manhal and then Al Qana.
- Bring training shoes, a water bottle and your evening clothes, and leave room in the day to get ready.
- RPM has no arrangement with any hotel, so ask the team directly rather than your hotel.
When the longer trip is worth making
If you live on the Al Qana side and simply want somewhere to train most days, a gym by home will usually suit you better. RPM earns the longer drive when it offers something you would not get closer to home:
- The Ladies section, a women-only space with its own strength and cardio equipment and the Pilates studio.
- Coaching, either as personal training or as the coached programming in the Engine tier.
- Heat and cold in the recovery suite, which pairs a Finnish sauna and an aroma steam room with an ice bath. Which tiers include it is a question for the team, and pregnancy or a heart condition means speaking to your doctor before using it.
- A working week that already brings you into central Abu Dhabi, so the session sits on a day you are in town anyway.

Questions, answered.
Is RPM at Al Qana?
No. RPM trains people in one place, Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal. From Al Qana it is a longer trip, and the route box above shows the mapped estimates from The National Aquarium.
Can I get ready for dinner at the club?
Yes, within limits. There is a vanity area with hairdryers and products in the grooming hub, and keypad lockers in the changing area. Ask the team about showers and towels before you plan on them.
Can our children train while we are on a family day out?
Youth fitness sessions are coach-supervised and arranged by a parent or guardian. Ask which ages each session accepts and when they run, and do not assume supervision for children outside those sessions.
Does RPM have any link with Al Qana or the aquarium?
No. RPM is an independent club with no arrangement with Al Qana or anyone there. The only connection on this page is the route between them.
Where do I park at RPM before heading out?
AD HUB's own car park offers free on-site parking, and the lift runs to Level 4. You set off from there once you are ready.
