One club, several people, very little driving
Al Karama, also written Al Karamah, is the district next to Al Manhal on Abu Dhabi island, and RPM sits next door on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex. With the trip this short, the hard part of a family gym plan is no longer getting there. It is fitting several people's sessions into one week. For the general checks on trip and timing, see whether RPM suits your trip.
The club is set up in a way that suits a mixed household. Men train in the Mixed section. Women can use the Mixed section or the Ladies section, which is for women only and has its own strength and cardio equipment and the Pilates studio. Youth fitness is coach-supervised and arranged by a parent or guardian. Parking at AD HUB is free and on site, with a lift to Level 4, and the route box above gives the mapped driving figures.
Who trains where, and when: a household planner
| Person | Where they train | A slot that tends to work | Confirm first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Parent working office hours | Mixed section | Early morning before the school run, or after the children's bedtime | Which tier suits two or three visits a week |
| Parent at home in the day | Mixed or Ladies section | Mid-morning, while school is in | The class timetable and coach availability at that hour |
| Teenager | Youth fitness, with a coach | After school or at the weekend | Which ages each session accepts |
| A woman who prefers to train away from men | Ladies section, including the Pilates studio | Any time that fits around the others | That her membership covers the Ladies section |
| Older relative getting back into exercise | Either section, ideally with a coach at first | Quieter daytime hours | A word with their doctor first if they have a health condition |
For teenagers, read how youth fitness works at RPM before booking. Sessions are supervised by a coach and approved by a parent or guardian, and the team confirms which ages each session takes. The Ladies section page covers the women-only side in detail, including the female coaches on the roster.
Term time, the long summer break and Ramadan
- Term time: anchor sessions to the school run. One parent trains early while the other handles the morning, or goes straight after drop-off if work allows.
- The long summer break: heat, travel and children at home all week change the plan. Agree in advance who trains when, and ask what your membership allows if the family travels for several weeks.
- Ramadan: opening hours can change, and household evenings often move around iftar. Check the hours with the team, then rebuild the plan around them.
- Fridays: shorter club hours and midday prayers, so a morning or early-evening slot usually works better.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.

Questions to settle as a family before joining
- Which sections each person's membership covers. RPM has three tiers, Floor, Engine and Atelier, and inclusions and prices are confirmed on enquiry.
- Which ages each youth session accepts, who coaches it, and how a parent or guardian approves it.
- Whether female coaches are available at the hours the women in the house would train.
- Which tiers include the recovery suite, if anyone wants the sauna, steam room or ice bath. Anyone who is pregnant or has a heart condition should ask their doctor first.
- The rules for younger children who come along with a parent.
Then book a free guided tour and bring the people who will train, so each of them sees the section they would use. Expect a walk-through with the team rather than a training session.
Questions, answered.
Is RPM in Al Karama?
No. RPM is next door in Al Manhal, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex. It has one club and no branch in Al Karama itself.
Is this page about Al Karama in Dubai?
No. It is about Al Karama in Abu Dhabi. RPM is in Abu Dhabi only, so for someone living in Dubai's Karama district it is not a local gym.
Can my teenager train alongside me?
Youth training at RPM is coach-supervised and arranged with a parent or guardian, rather than a teenager training unsupervised next to you. Ask the team which ages and session types are available.
Can more than one person in the family join together?
Ask the team. Membership options, and what each tier covers for each person, are confirmed on enquiry.
What do younger children do while we train?
Ask the team about the rules for children who come with a parent before you bring them. It is usually easier to plan sessions around school hours, or for when another adult is at home.
