Offices at the western end, a club in the middle of the island
Etihad Towers is a group of towers towards the western end of Abu Dhabi island, with offices among them. This page is for the people who work in those offices, whose weekdays are shaped by meetings, clients and the drive in and out.
RPM is a single club, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex in Al Manhal, in the middle of the island. That puts the office and the club at two ends of a short cross-island trip, and every plan below starts from that fact. For the general method, see where RPM sits relative to a working day at the island's western end.
Before work, lunch, after work: the verdicts
| Window | Verdict | Who it suits | What it needs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Before work | Often the strongest fit | People whose drive in from home already passes through the middle of the island | An early start, office clothes packed, and time to get ready at the club |
| Lunch | Rarely realistic | Only someone with a long, flexible break and no afternoon meetings | Two cross-island legs and a change of clothes inside one break |
| After work | Good on fixed evenings | Anyone who can leave on time two evenings a week | Kit in the car and a session decided before you leave the desk |
| Weekend | The long session | Almost everyone, for coaching, heavy lifting or the recovery suite | A morning kept clear of plans |
Before work rates highly because nothing on an office calendar competes with it. Meetings creep into lunch and late afternoons, but rarely into the hour before the working day begins. For more on making mornings stick, read training before work.
A working week from the western end, worked through
| Day | Plan | Why it is there |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Before work: a strength session, get ready at the club, drive to the office | A fresh start before the week's meetings stack up |
| Tuesday | No session | Recovery, and room for a late meeting |
| Wednesday | After work: conditioning or a group class | A fixed evening you block in the calendar |
| Thursday | Before work: a shorter session or a coached slot | A second morning, kept moderate |
| Friday | Rest | The midday prayers shape the day, and club hours are shorter |
| Saturday | A long morning visit: heavy lifting, coaching or the recovery suite | No office and no clock |
| Sunday | Rest or a walk | Ready for Monday |
Heat and cold in the recovery suite do not suit everyone. If you are pregnant or have a heart condition, check with your doctor before the sauna or ice bath.
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Saturday to Thursday | 06:00–23:00 |
| Friday | 09:00–22:00 |
Hours can change, for example during Ramadan. Confirm with the team before a late or early visit.
Opening runs from early morning to late evening, Fridays are shorter, and Ramadan has its own times. Check the before-work slot against your first meeting, not your official start time.
Desk, car or club: where your office kit lives
Training before a client-facing day only works if getting ready is planned. Split your kit three ways:
| Item | Where it lives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Office shoes and a spare shirt | At your desk | A forgotten item does not wreck the morning |
| The day's office clothes | On a hanger in the car, out of the sun | Folded clothes crease in a kit bag |
| Training kit and trainers | In the car, packed the night before | No decisions at an early hour |
| Hairdryer and products | At the club | Nothing extra to carry |
| Phone, wallet and keys during the session | A keypad locker in the changing area | Nothing to hold on the training floor |
The grooming hub has a vanity area with hairdryers and products. Ask the team about showers, and whether towels are provided, before you build a before-work routine around them.
Getting there, and bringing colleagues
The mapped route runs along King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, then finishes on Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Street into AD HUB. The route box calls it a short cross-island trip, and the office rush in either direction can stretch it. Once you reach AD HUB, parking is free and on site, and the lift goes up to Level 4.
If colleagues in your office would train too, ask HR to approach RPM. Corporate arrangements are set up for each organisation, with the details confirmed on enquiry. Mixed teams train together in the Mixed section, and women can also use the women-only Ladies section if their tier covers it.
Questions, answered.
Is RPM in Etihad Towers?
No. RPM has one club, in Al Manhal, on Level 4 of AD HUB Sports Complex. From Etihad Towers it is a cross-island trip, and the route box has the mapped estimates.
I live at the western end too. Does before work still make sense?
Less so. If home and office are both at the western end, every session is a detour inland and back. Two fixed evenings or a weekend morning usually hold up better.
Can I keep a coach booked before work?
Ask for a regular early slot through personal training, so the morning has an appointment in it rather than a vague intention.
What if a morning meeting moves earlier?
Swap that day's session to the evening and keep the other morning. One moved session leaves the week intact.
Is a weekend visit enough on its own?
It keeps the habit alive through a heavy month. Most goals need at least one weekday session as well, so keep weekend-only weeks as the exception.
